Who do I see?

I work with young people and adults facing many challenges and I am happy to discuss any problems you maybe experiencing. I have helped many people find answers and effective ways of coping with their difficulties including:

  • Eating disorders – Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge eating disorder, Over-eating
  • Sexual abuse
  • Panic attacks or other symptoms caused by stress
  • Lack of confidence, feeling anxious or generally feeling unable to cope
  • Feeling depressed and unhappy
  • Struggling with work related issues
  • Coping with emotional or sexual difficulties
  • Concerns about health
  • Issues with alcohol, smoking too much or using drugs
  • Problems in relationships
  • Managing a bereavement

I am part of a wide network of counsellors and organisations and if I am not the right person to help you will endeavour to support you in accessing the care and support you need elsewhere.

I operate an equal opportunity policy and do not discriminate against individuals on the basis of age, marital status, physical disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, social origins, political or religious beliefs.

Families and Carers
Particularly when working with young people or those battling an eating disorder, I feel it is very important to offer support and counselling to those caring for people with eating disorders, or for those whose lives are or have been affected by eating disorders.

Whilst the content of client sessions remains confidential, looking at the impact and difficulties for parents and carers can be enormously helpful and often provides a helpful outlet for difficult feelings that naturally arise. Providing a more integrated approach is also often invaluable and can help to establish a greater understanding of the difficulties for every one involved.

I am currently looking into setting up a support group with this in mind. Please contact me if you would be interested in attending.
